I am always on the edge for this TV show
Well, well, well......24 does it for me everytime. This show is packed with surprise, intrigue, twists and turns. I am literally glued to the television during this show. I usually have volleyball pickup games on Monday evenings and I either miss it or leave early so that I can get to 24. I will not DVR it, I will not tape it. I must see it then and there......I love Jack and Cloe....I am so sad to see Bill go and please do not kill Tony!!!I talk to the TV, I yell at the TV during 24....Am I the only one who is 24floored....Whew!!!!!
Kids having kids!/Social Issues!
Is there not something seriously wrong with our young children having kids. Most of them are unable to take care of these kids and many with dads that are in prisons. My tax dollars are having to be used to help these children. Also, many kids and their parents are getting "crazy" checks in this economy because they are diagnosed with mental problems. They have access to free medical and dental and food stamps and all that and I am trying to work hard only to have my insurance not pay hardly anything for dental work. Why do I have to pay for insurance that does not return that much and people who are unemployed are getting checks and free food and dental. I believe that in some instances, there is a need but in some, there is abuse of the system. Lord, I pray for those with legitimate needs that require aid but I pray Lord that you give us discernement in administering these social programs so that the deserving are being helped and those that are abusing the system are found out. I pray for America and the economic crisis that we are facing.

God is sooooooo good!
Meditate on the following scripture today because regardless of what you may think, God is still in control. He is still on the throne and He is still wanting more of our time, talent, and treasures.
Psalms 23 is always read but stop and meditate on each verse and let it settle in your spirit. Each verse is powerful!
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
What an awesome God we serve. He has placed you here on earth for a plan and a purpose and all you have to do is walk it out by faith, trust, believe and obey!!!!!

God use me as your vessel
In Exodus Chapter 7:3 until the children of Israel left Egypt, God kept hardening the heart of Pharaoh from letting them go. Each time God used Moses and Aaron to send a plague, Pharaoh would agree to let them go, but then God would harden his heart so that he changed his mind and refused to let them go. God even told Moses that that was what He would do with Pharaoh. Interestingingly, in Exodus Chapter 10:1-2, God revealed why He had done this. It reads, "The Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh, for I have made his heart hard, and his servants' hearts, that I might show these My signs (of divine power) before him, And that you may recount in the ears of your son and of your grandson what I have done in derision of the Egyptians and what things I have (repeatedly) done here--My signs (of divine power) done among them--that you may recognize and know that I am the Lord."
Many times God will allow certain circumstances in our lives so that He can come in and show His awesome power. We are always quick to say, "God use me as your vessel"--but we think about that as in "God use me to spread your word, or use me to teach, preach, prophecy, lay hands on the sick etc", however, God allowing negative circumstances in our lives is using us as a vessel. A vessel to show of his restorative power. A vessel to show that He is a God of His word. A vessel to show that He is El Shaddai. A vessel to show that He is a provider (Jehovah Jireh). A vessel to show that He can take the messed up things and produce diamonds. A vessel to show that He can take trash (the trash that is in us and our lives) and make treasure out of it. That is why in each circumstance in our lives and each trial, we are to keep praising God and seek His peace and seek His guidance.

Darkness to Light
Genesis Chapter 1 says that "In the beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.
Just as in Genesis, God has created you. And, just as in Genesis, you are surrounded by darkness and everything is an empty face. But, thank God that the Spirit of God is moving about and sees your heaviness and darkness. Thank God that His Spirit hovers around. And when God says, "Let there be light" in your life, every dark, empty, ugly thing will spring forth as the earth did in life and beautiness!!!!
Father, I thank you for my brothers and my sisters reading this. May they hold on tight to you in their dark season so that when you speak life, they immediately receive it in the name of Jesus!!!!
