Volleyball: Division 2 is just as good as Division 1
It blows my mind that Division I volleyball always seem to get more media attention, more TV schedule, more inspiration stories than Division II volleyball. In my eyes the only difference between the two is $$$$ I played Division II volleyball and we have great coaches, awesome stories, great rivalries, exceptional talent and we have kicked the crap out of some DI schools as well. Why is there a misconception that D1 schools are better? My answer is the attention that it receives. Focus needs to be placed on D2 programs. Many athletes in the D2 programs do not even get a chance to compete for post college opportunities because they were not D1. Maybe I am just venting because I know of great D2 stories and players that are never known. Maybe I am just wrong and the misconception is not there. What I do know is that having played in a D2 program, I had the best experience, coaching and talent. Maybe it was just the particular program but come one, please put a bit more emphasis on D2 volleyball. You can easily find the best D2 rivalries, the best D2 games that are upcoming and talk about them or show them. Take the time to learn about D2 players and I guarantee great stories. By the way, if you are wondering, I proudly played for the University of Tampa Spartans. Whewwwwwww. I feel better.
Baseball's Steroid List
The new buzz in baseball is that David Ortiz is now on the famous "Steroid List". My question to baseball is: Just make the list public so that we can deal with it, clean up the game and concentrate on the game. This private yet public list that pops into the news every month or so with a new big profile name is just ridiculous. Is it a private list or is it not? Was it done in a way that would not mess with the playability of the players or was it? And while we are on that topic, please establish an ending for this whole Bonds, Ramirez, A-Rod steroid issue. Soooo very confusing and unfinished in my eyes. Get closure and move on.

Tiger Woods misses the Cut
Oh my Gosh---Tiger Woods has missed the cut for the British Open.....This is the end of the world as we know it right? I was so surprised at the media attention that is given to Tiger Woods becaused he missed the cut. Hello, last time I checked he is human. He makes mistakes, he uses the bathroom like we do and he misses cuts. We have to keep things in perspective. Yes, I know that he rarely has missed a cut and yes I know that he is an icon in sports, but to analyze that fact for at least 10 minutes is ridiculous. To call it breaking news is even worse. Tiger is an athlete and a professional. He did not miss the cut for the open but He will win more opens, I guarantee. No need to panic people. No need to wonder how the open will be televised without him....I think the world still survived when he was injured recently......Please, keep things in perspective!!!
What are your thoughts???Tell me I am wrong or I am right, but please say why?
